As I sit here mulling over the concept that I actually left the house at 3AM this morning to make it to Old Warden for 5AM, I wanted to share a few pictures from a very busy day, well morning.
Today started with a new experience in the shape of the dawn photoshoot at Old Warden, an enjoyable event despite dark and damp conditions preventing the glorious spring sunrise we have been seeing so often the last few weeks. A more detailed report will be following.
I followed that up with a quick visit to Duxford to check out the newly refurbished and rearranged American Air Museum which re-opened to the public today. A fuller post exploring the refreshed exhibition will follow in the next few weeks.
Finally there was time for a quick visit to Hendon to get an updated look at the conservation work taking place in the Battle of Britain Hall at the moment. Again a fuller post will take a closer look at some of the changes and I look forward to tracking the progress of this work over the next few months.
Overall a busy day but it felt like a great start to the 2016 season, next week it’s time for Sywell.
