Museum Profiles

Posts kept on this page will generally be short photo posts of Aviation Museums, giving a general feel of the venues and hopefully encourage readers to go out and visit.

Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight – Home to a number of airworthy Spitfires, two Hurricanes, Lancaster and Dakota. Wonderful chance to get an up close look at these historic airframes.

Brooklands Museum – Home to one of the most unique aviation collections in the country, from early pre war Sopwith designs, right through to Concorde.

First World War In the Air – RAF Museum London – A first look at Hendon’s new first world war exhibition.

First World War In The Air RAF Museum: Exhibit Histories – Following on from the earlier review post of the new exhibition, this post takes a look in detail at the aircraft on display.

Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre – Home to running Lancaster “Just Jane” and many more.

RAF Manston History Museum – A look at one of the two museums on site at Manston Airport. An excellent museum with a wide variety of exhibits.
